Being a specialist in your field doesn’t automatically make you a specialist in writing.
Yet the way your content is written and presented affects people’s interest and ability to understand it, absorb it and use it … even to bother with it in the first place.
Just look at it from your point of view. Do you prefer content that’s easy to read? That looks fantastic? And that gives you exactly what you’re looking for?
The thing is, your clever work speaks best when it’s informative and engaging.
That’s where The Documentalist can help you.
Mark’s professionalism, expertise, meticulous attention to detail and passion for achieving the best results were evident as he worked with various stakeholders across the company …

How The Documentalist can help you
Mark has what’s needed for developing or reworking your content:

Consulting and communication skills to facilitate the process and ensure you understand what you’re going to get.
He’s used to working closely with people from different parts of an organisation, managing their expectations and meeting everyone’s requirements. What’s more, he’s used to working to a deadline.

- Give him a blank page and he’ll fill it with what you need.
- Give him good content and he’ll improve it with an edit.
- Give him a complex, repetitive and difficult-to-read mess, and he’ll make it flow with clarity and consistency.

He’ll take your pages of black-and-white text and transform them into eye-catching content.
Mark is often asked to rewrite content and rework documents, drawing on all his skills to bring out the best in other people’s work.
So whatever your requirements, it’s his job to put together vibrant content that’s clear and to the point, to keep your customers happy.

Mark Scott
doc·u·men·tal·ist
noun a specialist in documentation
Yes. It’s a real word. I didn’t know until I searched for it, thinking I’d made it up.
Wikipedia says it’s ‘a kind of librarian’, which I’m not. But that definition I’ve quoted from Merriam-Webster definitely describes me.
I come from a consulting background where I wrote and edited a lot of documents and other content. A lot!
Because of that, I’ve become adept at helping others to showcase their great work.
You have the subject matter knowledge; I have the skills to help make the most of your content.
I can help you banish waffle, add polish and make an impact with:
- business and technical reports
- content for websites and intranets
- operations manuals and handbooks
- policies and plans
- processes and procedures
- procurement documents: RFPs, RFTs, RFIs, etc.
- project management and solution delivery documents
- templates for Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel.
